Thornhill Cruisers ( July
11, 2005 )
They say it never rains
on Mondays nights in Thornhill, but the cars
poured in making it a great evening. The Thornhill
Cruisers meet every Monday evening at the
Bayview Glen Church, 300 Steels Avenue East
in Thornhill Ontario. They have been doing
this now for 12 years. When they started,
there were only a small handful of cars but
now welcome 200-300 classics every week from
Victoria Day to Labour Day.
We really liked the cruise
night, the new location is far more relaxed
then the old location just up the road at
the Thornhill Square. The Bayview Glen Church
has a great roadway that enters the parking
lot and made it easy to get in and out. There
are plenty of spots to park. The shade from
the surrounding trees help keep you cool.
A room is provided indoors where you can sit
down and cool off for a few minutes before
you head out to look at all the extraordinary
cars.
The Thornhill Cruisers
make it a point that nobody should need to
pay in order to take part in the cruise night.
They accredit this to the support they receive
from their community and sponsors. Along
with all the great vehicles there are door
prizes for entrants, 50/50 draw and voting
for car
of the week.
We enjoyed the evening
and are sure that you would too. For more
