Boot Hill Auto Grand Opening (Jun. 27, 2009)
The HotRodding.ca team took a little trip down the road from Orangeville to Erin where Boot Hill Auto was having their open house. We arrived early to make sure to get a spot, along with everyone else. The parking lot was jammed packed as the energy emitted from this special hotrod compound drew in a wide range of classics and hotrods. Here is what the staff at Boot Hill had to say after the event...
What a day! The management and staff at Boot Hill Automotive Resurrection were overwhelmed at the response to our Grand Opening. It was a spectacular event with perfect weather, over 100 cars on display and many more spilling onto the side streets here in Erin. We had great live music, the Gibson guitar tour bus, sports celebrities from the NHL & CFL and our Mayor, Mr. Rod Finney to preside in the ribbon cutting ceremony. And that barbeque, wow, provided by Zee Food Company, was a big hit. The show ran from Noon to 4pm, but by 11:30am we were in full flight. Company owner, Blaine Schmidt says…” We couldn’t have asked for a better day or turn out. We are very happy with all involved and a big thanks to all who participated in our big day.”
Boot Hill ran a contest, during the demonstrations, to win one of three dynamometer runs at Boot Hill. Congratulations to Ken Moxam, Roger Colley and Leon Pelissero, winners in our draw. Boot Hill would like to thank everyone who participated. A special thanks to Michael Phillips from Zee Foods, Jude St.John and Mike O’Shea from the Toronto Argonauts. NHL Hall of Famer Paul Coffey, Brad Boyes of the St. Louis Blues, Rick Nash of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Angelo D’Amico from “Hustle for a Cure” Foundation. Also Kevin Albrecht, Scott Waites, all of our suppliers and our staff for all their hard work in making this event a huge success.
