Markdale Chamber Classic Cruise Night ( July 4, 2008 )
Last year we found out about this great little show only a day before the event. We knew we wanted to attend again this year but information was hard to find until I noticed the event was on the Road Hazards calendar of events for the upcoming month. The event was on a Friday night and I didn't read the calendar until Thursday, so just as it was last year, we only had a day to make plans to attend the show.
With only a day to get ready HotRodding.ca sent out a call to it's members asking if anyone wanted to cruise up together. Dave Bohach answered the call and met us on the way up from Orangeville. Dave drove his "High School T-Bucket" and brought along his son. The weather was fantastic and the drive up Highway #10 was fun as we eventually spotted other classic cars on the way to the show. We drove into Markdale just after 5:00pm and were quickly helped into our parking spots on Main Street.
The show was setup pretty much the same as last year with live music, goodie bags, door prizes and a casual atmosphere. HotRodding.ca decided to donate a T-Shirt for a door prize which was very much appreciated by the organizers of the event. The show contained approximately 120 cars and ran from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. We will plan on attending this show again next year, hopefully with a little more notice. :)
Here are a few pictures from the event. Enjoy!
